Ancient Celebi Card

Celebi is scary-looking as f*@# in Gold and Silver and Crystal (esp. its image in the latter two).  If it's a time-traveller, where in time did it come from?  Where is it going?  Is it from ancient days, or the end of days?  Did it even come from inside time at all?

It reminds me of the nature spirits of old; how can we really be sure it is on humanity's side?  Maybe one day it'll just wipe us out for the "greater good" of the forest, or just maybe one lonely child or foolish trainer at a time in its deep, dark woods....

I feel like Celebi should have been a possible but rare random encounter to be had inside Ilex Forest, and that it would flee from the player and sometimes be fully healed and would only start appearing (or just start staying put to fight) only after putting the GS Ball in the shrine, and that the GS ball should have been the reward for collecting all the forms of Unown, implying that it came from inside the ruins of Alph....
